UN Approved Vents
Hoover offers two all-poly (in product zone) UN approved vents. The first is a
2" NPT ‘vacuum only’ vent and the second is a 2" NPT two-way or combo
(pressure relief and vacuum) vent. Both vents screw into the bung and meet all
UN requirements for Tuff Tanks®, Liquitotes®, Suredrain and APR.
The concept on the combination vent is a piston within a piston. This allows
pressure from either side to act over an engineered stainless steel spring. The
combination vent releases at 4 PSI and .5 PSI vacuum.
